Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Wolfgang Tillmann, born 1961, studied mechanical engineering (RWTH Aachen) and business administration (FU Hagen). In 1992 he received his doctorate in materials science (RWTH Aachen). He worked as a research assistant and senior engineer at RWTH Aachen University and held various technical and strategic management positions at Hilti AG. Since November 2002, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Wolfgang Tillmann has held the Chair of Materials Technology at TU Dortmund University.
