Prof. Dr. Lech Pawlowski


Lech Paw?owski is Professor of Surface Engineering at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille ...Lech Paw?owski is Professor of Surface Engineering at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille (ENSCL) in France since 1999. His research work concerns mainly different aspects of thermal spraying and laser treatment of materials. He studied Electronic Technology in Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland obtaining his Dipl. Ing. diploma in 1974. After completing his PhD on vacuum plasma spraying in 1978, he obtained a postdoctoral position in France and made his DSc in 1985. Professor Pawlowski had worked in thermal spray industry as project manager, consultant and managing director in Germany, Italy and in France. His industrial work was mainly focussed on the development of anilox and corona rollers. His research appointments included the positions in The University of Stuttgart (Germany), The Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) and The University of Trento (Italy). Since 1995 he has been appointed as the university professor. He has been lecturing on e.g. Surface Treatment, Technology of Powders Manufacturing, and Industrial Chemistry. He is an author of three text-books on thermal spraying and surface engineering and the author or co-author of more than 73 papers in scientific journals and numerous contributions in scientific conferences. He collaborates with professional journal Surface and Coatings Technology, organizes every 2 years starting 2003 the meetings Rencontres Internationales sur la Projection Thermique in Lille and was elected a chairman of European Thermal Spray Association.
