Honsel AG has developed a new thermal spray process for cylinder bore surfaces
by the name of AluThinFer to the point where it is ready for series production.
The very thin steel coating has very good thermomechanical properties, is wearresistant,
causes low friction and thus creates good prerequisites for future lowconsumption
gasoline and diesel engines.
