M. Sc. Maximilian Grimm

Maximilian Grimm was born in Reichenbach im Vogtland in 1993 and studied mechanical engineering at Chemnitz University of Technology (B.Sc. 2012–2016, M.Sc. 2016–2018). Since 2018, he has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Materials and Surface Engineering (WOT) at Chemnitz University of Technology in the Thermal Coating Department. His research focuses on the atmospheric plasma spraying of oxide ceramic materials and the microstructure and property characterisation of thermally sprayed coatings. Since April 2023, he has been co-head of the Thermal Coating Department.
