Ph. D. Esmaeil Sadeghimeresht

Esmaeil Sadeghimeresht is a Ph.D. student in Production Technology at University West (HV). The working title of his these is "corrosion behavior of HVAF-sprayed bi-layer coatings". His research will address key questions in relation to corrosion behavior of thermal spray coatings. Indeed, his research interests stand broadly in the area of thermal spray coatings and their corrosion behavior. More specifically, during the doctoral studies he has worked on low and high temperature corrosion properties of HVAF- (high-velocity air fuel) and HVOF- (high-velocity oxy fuel) sprayed Fe-, Ni- and Co-based coatings. He has published several papers in top relevant conferences, like EUROCORR, RIPT, and ITSC and also in ISI journals. Each of the above paper describes a comprehensive and practical approach that eventually tries to improve the current state of the art. Before joining HV, He received his 2-year MSc degree in Corrosion Science & Engineering from TMU, Tehran, Iran in 2010. Throughout his stay at TMU, He has tried to broaden his knowledge of corrosion.
