Advantages by using new gas mixtures for arc spraying

By using special gas mixtures instead of air as the propellant gas for arc
spraying, not only are the properties of the spray coating changed, but the
impact on the environment is also considerably reduced. The investigation
shows that, in the case of arc spraying, the use of these gas mixtures and
steel as the spray material can enhance the quality in terms of oxygen
content to levels that are comparable to HVOF spraying.
