Commercially available and experimental coating materials on a zinc basis, with and without organic coating, are investigated with regard to their corrosion behaviour in the salt spray test, in the alternating VDA test and in the electrochemical corrosion test. For the assessment of the coat systems, reference is made to common standards in order to compare the various corrosion protection systems with each other, with regard to a long-term application.
